Quality Assurance Policy

Packaging Hype is committed to producing custom packaging according to the specifications, artwork, materials, printing requirements, and finishing details approved for each order.

This Quality Assurance Policy explains our approach to production quality, customer approvals, inspections, manufacturing tolerances, printing and color variations, reporting issues, and resolving orders that materially differ from approved specifications.

Because custom packaging involves manufacturing, printing, converting, finishing, and other production processes, minor variations may occur. Our quality approach focuses on identifying material defects and ensuring that finished packaging reasonably conforms to the approved order specifications.

Our Approach to Quality

Quality begins before production.

Packaging Hype focuses on establishing clear and accurate order specifications before an order enters manufacturing.

Depending on the project, this may include confirming:

  • Box dimensions
  • Quantity
  • Material
  • Box style and structure
  • Artwork
  • Printing requirements
  • Colors
  • Finishes
  • Coatings
  • Inserts
  • Window cutouts
  • Foil stamping
  • Embossing or debossing
  • Other applicable custom requirements

Clear specifications and customer approval help establish the standard against which the completed order can be reviewed.

Pre-Production Review

Before production begins, Packaging Hype may review the information necessary to manufacture the order.

Production generally begins after:

  • Required order specifications have been confirmed
  • Final artwork or proof has been approved where applicable
  • Required customer information has been received
  • Required payment has been successfully confirmed

If important information is missing, inconsistent, or unclear, we may place the order on hold until the matter is resolved.

Customer-Approved Specifications

Custom packaging is produced according to the final specifications approved for the order.

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing applicable details before approval, including:

  • Dimensions
  • Quantity
  • Material
  • Structure
  • Artwork
  • Spelling
  • Contact information
  • Logos and images
  • Printing
  • Colors
  • Finishes
  • Orientation
  • Product information
  • Barcodes and QR codes
  • Other customer-supplied content

Customer-approved content errors are generally not considered manufacturing defects when the finished packaging materially follows the approved artwork and specifications.

Production Quality Checks

Packaging Hype may perform reasonable quality checks during or after production depending on the order and manufacturing process.

Quality review may include relevant aspects such as:

  • Structural construction
  • Material
  • Dimensions
  • Printing
  • Artwork placement
  • Cutting
  • Folding
  • Gluing
  • Finishing
  • General artistry
  • Quantity
  • Overall conformity with approved specifications

The exact quality-control process may vary depending on the packaging style, material, printing method, finishing requirements, quantity, and production process.

Manufacturing Tolerances

Custom packaging is produced through physical manufacturing processes, and minor variations can occur between individual units or production runs.

Reasonable manufacturing variations may occur in areas such as:

  • Cutting
  • Folding
  • Creasing
  • Gluing
  • Dimensions
  • Material appearance
  • Print positioning
  • Color appearance
  • Finishing placement
  • Other production characteristics

Minor variations that do not materially affect the packaging’s intended function or substantially depart from the approved specifications are not necessarily considered defects.

If a particular dimension, fit, color, placement, or other characteristic is critical to the customer’s application, communicate the requirement before production so available options can be reviewed.

Printing and Color Variations

Colors displayed on digital screens may not exactly match colors produced through physical printing.

Color appearance can be affected by:

  • Screen calibration
  • RGB and print color differences
  • Printing method
  • Ink
  • Material or substrate
  • Coatings
  • Lamination
  • Finishes
  • Lighting conditions
  • Normal production variation

For these reasons, a digital proof is primarily used to review artwork, content, layout, and placement. Do not treat it as a guarantee of exact screen-to-print color matching.

Customers with critical color requirements should communicate them before production, so available color-matching or sampling options can be discussed.

Materials and Finishes

Materials and finishing processes can vary naturally or due to manufacturing.

Kraft, paperboard, corrugated materials, specialty stocks, coatings, laminations, foil, embossing, debossing, Spot UV, and similar processes may vary slightly in appearance or application.

Evaluate such variations based on whether they materially affect the approved specifications, functionality, or overall intended use of the packaging.

Samples and Full Production

Where available, a sample or prototype may help customers evaluate packaging structure, dimensions, fit, material, and general appearance before full production.

However, samples and prototypes may be produced using methods different from full-volume manufacturing.

As a result, reasonable differences may exist between a prototype or sample and the final production run.

If a particular characteristic is critical, customers should communicate the requirement before approving full production.

Quantity

Packaging Hype aims to fulfill the quantity confirmed for the applicable order.

If a customer believes the delivered quantity materially differs from the confirmed order quantity, they should report the issue promptly with relevant order information and supporting evidence, where available.

The matter will be reviewed according to the applicable order records and circumstances.

Packaging Fit and Product Compatibility

Customers should provide accurate product dimensions, weight, shape, fragility, and other information relevant to packaging fit and performance.

Packaging Hype may provide packaging guidance based on the information supplied. Still, the customer remains responsible for ensuring that all critical product requirements are communicated before production.

Where product fit, structural performance, or compatibility is particularly important, a physical sample or prototype may be appropriate before full production.

Identifying a Quality Issue

A quality issue may exist where the delivered packaging materially differs from the approved order specifications because of a production error attributable to Packaging Hype.

Examples may include a material discrepancy involving:

  • Incorrect approved dimensions
  • Incorrect material
  • Incorrect approved artwork
  • Material printing errors
  • Missing approved printing or finishing
  • Significant structural defects
  • Significant cutting, folding, or assembly problems
  • Other material deviations from the approved specifications

Whether an issue qualifies for a remedy depends on the nature and extent of the discrepancy and the applicable order documentation.

Reporting a Defective or Incorrect Order

Customers should inspect their packaging promptly after delivery.

If an order arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the approved specifications due to an issue attributable to Packaging Hype, the customer should contact us within 7 calendar days after delivery.

Please provide:

  • Customer name or business name
  • Order or invoice number
  • Description of the issue
  • Quantity believed to be affected
  • Clear photographs showing the issue
  • Packaging labels or shipping information where relevant
  • Other reasonable evidence requested to evaluate the claim

Providing clear information helps us review the issue more efficiently.

Claim Review

After receiving sufficient information, Packaging Hype will review the claim against relevant order records, which may include:

  • Approved artwork
  • Approved specifications
  • Order quantity
  • Material requirements
  • Production information
  • Photographs
  • Shipping information
  • Customer communications
  • Other relevant documentation

We may request additional photographs, videos, samples, or other reasonable evidence when necessary to determine the nature or extent of the reported issue.

Customers should retain the affected packaging until the claim has been reviewed or until Packaging Hype confirms that retention is no longer necessary.

Available Resolutions

If Packaging Hype confirms that an order contains a material defect or error attributable to us, we will determine an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances and applicable policies.

Depending on the issue, an available resolution may include:

  • Replacement of affected packaging
  • Reproduction or reprint
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund where appropriate
  • Another mutually agreed resolution

The appropriate remedy depends on the nature, severity, and extent of the confirmed issue.

Approved refunds are generally processed within 5–10 business days. However, banks, card issuers, or payment providers may require additional time to post the funds.

Customer-Approved Errors

Packaging that materially follows customer-approved artwork and specifications generally does not qualify as defective solely because the customer later wishes to change:

  • Artwork
  • Wording
  • Spelling
  • Logo
  • Color selection
  • Dimensions
  • Material selection
  • Structure
  • Printing specifications
  • Finishes
  • Other approved design choices

We generally treat these requests as customer-requested changes or new production rather than quality defects.

Shipping Damage

Report damage caused during transportation within 7 calendar days after delivery.

Customers should retain the packaging, shipping cartons, labels, and available evidence of the damage while the claim is being reviewed.

We will handle shipping-related claims based on the circumstances and our applicable Shipping & Delivery and Refund & Return policies.

Reorders

Customers placing a reorder should not assume that separate production runs will be visually identical in every minor respect.

Reasonable differences may occur between production runs because of materials, printing conditions, inks, equipment, finishes, and normal manufacturing variables.

If matching a previous order is particularly important, customers should communicate that requirement when requesting the reorder and provide the previous order information where available.

Continuous Improvement

When a legitimate production issue is identified, Packaging Hype may review relevant production information to understand the cause and determine whether reasonable corrective steps can be taken.

Our objective is to maintain clear specifications, practical quality controls, and appropriate resolution procedures throughout the custom packaging process.

Changes to This Policy

Packaging Hype may update this Quality Assurance Policy to reflect changes in production processes, quality-control practices, products, materials, or business requirements.

We will publish the current version on this page with its applicable revision date.
